An early experiment with AI tools.
I gave myself 3 hours to create an ad. I chose Levi, as this has been a brand I have lived with and in, since I was about 4 years old.
The insight was anchored in two things: People judge a good fit by how their butt looks in jeans. We all turn around to look, and the iconic leather patch.
Tools used were Midjourney, Flow, Runway, and Capcut.
Another experiment in AI video tools.
I gave myself 12 hours, over two days to create a Xmas short. I put real-world constraints on the experiments to try and simulate real agency conditions.
My brief was a Christmas card from my wife and I.
Tools included Nano Banana, Flow, Weavy, Photoshop, Elevenlabs, Capcut, and Suno.
Dreams of Home is a commissioned project from PropertyGuru. The brief was “Are AI tools really ready for a brand film that would be audience facing, and do we have the required experience or ways of working to actually pull it off.”
The team was 3 people. The PG ECD, an editor for post assembly and grading, and I did all the heavy lifting - keyframe or reference image generation, clip generation, compositing, sound.
Tools included Nano Banana, Flow, Weavy, Photoshop, Elevenlabs, Premiere, and a small handful of video gen tools available in Weavy.
The project took 12 days, SGD1300 in compute. Plus of course the fees.
An interesting bit of learning - many Ai tools do not allow for the generation of children, so this posed an early challenge, forcing compromises in quality over story.
This was an interesting experiment. I led the development of a new Brand World for a confectionary client. This was new territory for the brand, and I needed a way for them to not just rationalise it, but to feel it.
The insight was that Indonesian Youth are their most authentic during what I called “The Inbetween” - those moments when they are in between authority figures like parents or teachers.
There are obvious mistakes in the film, but the goal was not character quality, but emotional resonance. I needed the client to see and feel the world we were going to build together.
This was presented very early in the workflow, during the strategy phase. We were able to align very quickly, with full buy in from the client and stakeholders, which grounded the rest of the work, allowed me to move at speed and conviction.
The work has now led to the development of TVC scripts based on the world as defined.
This is a project that combined the NotebookLM conversation audio with HeyGen Avatars.
I had NotebookLM review a collection of 40 articles and knowledge documents, and then discuss them. Moved the audio track to HeyGen, and created 4 avatar tracks to simulate a 4 camera shoot.
Post Production in CapCut to simulate a studio setting, multi camera shoot.
This is an example of the multi-lingual training program for a client in Indonesia.
Tools used were Midjourney for character key references, HeyGen for animations, Elevenlabs for voice and translation, and Capcut for assembly.
Here is a collection of synthetics that were used in my keynote about the aging consumer and knowledge worker, or what I call, The Epilogue Economy.
I used HeyGen to create digital expressions of the subject matter experts or to align with the APAC regional viewing audiences.
